Snoop Lion’s Best Business Ventures (Slideshow)
Snoop Dogg’s name change to Snoop Lion has put a major kink on his latest entrepreneurial venture: DOG for DOG.
Along with comedian Chelsea Handler and musician Michael Bublé, Snoop Lion is a partner in DOG for DOG, a Santa Monica, Calif.-based dog-food maker that was founded by Rocky Kanaka Keever. Besides providing top-notch kibble (the puppy chow uses human-grade ingredients), it has a social-good appeal similar to TOMS shoes: For every pet product purchased at DOG for DOG, the company gives that item to a local shelter to feed dogs in need.

Lion’s entrepreneurial streak doesn’t stop there. His free mobile-app Snoopify has been making headlines of late. The app produces virtual stickers of joints, bling and wads of cash that allows users to splash them across uploaded pics. One of his stickers, known as the “Golden Jay” puffs colorful smoke and glitter and sets people back $ 99.99 for the download.
