Our next meeting on August 26, 2014 will feature a presentation by leading data scientist Hilary Mason who will share some of her experiences and insights related to Visual Exploration.

Event Agenda:

Each Meetup event features demos and discussions of Visual Exploration companies, tools, web sites, and anything else relevant to Visual Exploration. Events will be engaging with live demos, participation and discussion encouraged!

Each event is organized as follows:

• 30 minutes of networking (with snacks and beverages)

• Feature presentation with Q&A: The formal portion of each event will include a speaker who will inform and impress with a topic related to Visual Exploration. Speakers with lots of words in their PowerPoints will be chastised and not invited back .

• Live demos with discussions and voting: We will present about 5 live, interactive demos. Participants will vote for their favorite demo, which will be featured on the Visual Exploration blog/site for the next month.

• General announcements: we will announce other relevant events, sponsor acknowledgements, job opportunities and job seekers. Anyone is welcome to get up and announce something relevant.

• Additional networking time (optional). Because sometimes you want to keep networking after the main event…

The list of demos will be announced at least one week ahead of time.Please send your suggestions for demos to be shown during the Meetup to paolo at infomous dot com. The main presenter will be featured in the Visual Exploration blog (pending), and the selected demos will be featured on the site, with the winning demo featured on the home page (also pending launch of our new site later this year).
